About Alan
Alan Sislen lives in Bethesda, Maryland and has been an avid photographer for more than 45 years. Landscape photography is his passion and he has photographed in the United States, France, Iceland, Italy, Canada, England, Chile, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and New Zealand. Alan is a well-recognized photography educator (Photoshop, Lightroom, printing, and digital workflow) and is a frequent speaker at photographic events.
Alan has studied with well-known British landscape photographer Charlie Waite, former National Geographic photographer Bruce Dale, digital expert Thom Hogan, black and white master John Sexton, Photoshop experts John Paul Caponigro, Charles Cramer and Eliot Cohen and color management/printing expert Bill Atkinson.
In 2005 he was juried into Multiple Exposures Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia, and was juried into the Torpedo Factory as a Resident Artist in 2006.
Alan’s work may be seen at Multiple Exposures Gallery or by appointment at his home studio and gallery in Bethesda, Maryland.
