Statement
Mushroom Symphonics is a photographic exploration of the Oyster Mushroom, revealing an intricate world of architectural form, light, and texture. Each image is created by stacking up to 100 individually focused exposures, producing extraordinary depth and clarity that uncover structures beyond ordinary perception. To me, these organisms are at once primordial, aquatic, and lyrical. Their beauty is matched by their potential: mycelium, the fungal network from which mushrooms emerge, is being developed for sustainable building materials and insulation, while the Oyster Mushroom is among the species capable of breaking down certain plastics, hinting at a future where nature itself offers elegant solutions to human challenges.
