Multiple Exposures Gallery (MEG) is pleased to present EPHEMERAL, a fine art photography exhibition juried by Abbey Alison McClain

In her juror statement, McClain explains that EPHEMERAL is an exploration of impermanence, embracing the constant motion that exists even within the quietest moments:

"The photographs in this exhibition approach transience from multiple points of view, drawing attention to the subtle shifts that shape both environment and identity. Trees, plants, and other organic forms appear as recurring motifs, their continual cycles of growth and renewal offering a direct and visible expression of impermanence.

Equally significant are the shadows and human impressions woven throughout the work, gesturing toward both presence and absence. Although figures are largely unseen, the traces they leave behind prompt questions and remembrances of the people and lives outside the focus or frame.

Together, the photographs of Ephemeral invite contemplation of what is passing, transforming, and continually becoming."

McClain selected 22 photographs by 13 artists for EPHEMERAL, and the exhibition is on view at MEG through January 25, 2026. The gallery is open daily, 11am-5pm.
