On the streets of New York City, fresh and unconventional scenes play out continuously. Every block offers a living tableau that can amaze and excite — or shock and repel — an unsuspecting audience. In OFF BROADWAY: GRIT AND GRANDEUR, fine art photographer Van Pulley pulls viewers into scenes that feel like frozen moments of a compelling Off Broadway play where both the grit and grandeur of the city come into focus. Memorable characters living in the city and throngs of visiting "extras" share equal billing with the "set designers" who constructed the extraordinary backdrops that serve as the stage for the daily unfolding drama that is New York City.
OFF BROADWAY: GRIT AND GRANDEUR is on view at Multiple Exposures Gallery from August 27-October 6, 2024. The gallery is open 11am-5pm daily.
