Statement

Museums are fascinating places to visit and explore for anyone, but I believe they are especially compelling for photographers. Their appeal goes beyond the remarkable artwork on display—they are visually and emotionally rich environments because of their architecture, the geometry and volume of their spaces, the quality of the light, and, perhaps most notably, the diversity of people who wander through them, engaging with both the art and the space itself.

I enjoy observing and interpreting the body language of visitors and staff as they interact with one another and with the artworks. I’m often amused by how the colors and styles of people’s clothing contrast—or harmonize—with the figures in the paintings on the walls. These moments spark my imagination, and I try to reflect the stories they suggest through my photographs.

This project includes a selection of fifteen photographs taken over several years in two museums I have visited frequently: the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas. It also includes one image captured at the Menil Collection in Houston.

Print Information

All my photographs are available as prints in various sizes and framing options. I personally handle the printing process, using archival-quality inks and papers to ensure longevity and vibrancy. For framed prints, I also use archival mats to preserve the artwork.
