Depth of Field celebrates photography with an exhibition, workshops, lectures, and photographers’ roundtable.

In collaboration with Art Intersection, Rfotofolio is pleased to have the opportunity to exhibit many of the photographers that have shared their work on Rfotofolio’s virtual pages.

Depth of Field includes images from developing to established photographers. Their images document the way we work, live, and dream.

This exhibition spans the vast art that is photography.

Tim Hyde: Fraction Magazine online exhibit

From the curator's statement:

Home - Where is yours?

I have read and re-read all of the Fraction Magazine publications that have been published over the years in search for images that serve to illustrate my theme for this online exhibition about ‘Home’. Home, the word….what is a home? What thoughts do we conjure up when we think of ‘home’...

The breadth of the subject ‘home’ is endless. It could be a book, but for an online exhibition I have pulled together 39 photographs, which addressed this subject, and I am grateful to the photographers who have traveled the world to expose these places and to David Bram for finding their work and bringing it to our attention in the issues of Fraction Magazine.

Timothy Hyde: Contemporary Photography at the College of William & Mary

MEG photographer Timothy Hyde will included in the upcoming exhibit: Breaking Ground: Contemporary Photography at the College of William & Mary, a collection of photographic artworks by 110 national and international artists surveying historic through contemporary developments in photography pushing the boundaries of photographic art-making in the 21st century.

From the editor's notes: 

Timothy Hyde photographs the light from the dark, his feature, Darkness Visible, makes me feel like I am that child again, glimpsing other lives lived from the backseat.  Hyde says that “blackness…is where our fear and obsessions reside and we are closer to these fears and obsessions at night.”  Was I looking for a way out of my fear?  Maybe.  I’m not sure I’m ready to turn that far inwards.
